So today we are starting a new series called “Cabling Chaos to Cabling Bliss”.

This series consists of before and after pictures from some of the most “chaotic” cabling projects we work on.

Without further delay, below is this installment’s “Cabling Chaos to Cabling Bliss”

Scenario

This client originally installed their cabling infrastructure over 8 years ago, at that time Cat 5 wiring was the accepted standard so they were in serious need of an upgrade. The problem was that their company was growing at such a rapid pace that their own IT department just didn’t have the available time or resources to plan and implement a cabling project.

Before

As is often typical the IT department was so busy that any necessary cabling was done as fast as possible without long term thought. After 5 years of ongoing ad hoc cabling, this is what their data center looked like:

Tech Alliance engineers sat down with the CTO of the company for discovery to learn about how their business uses and consumes data. Together we came up with a new cable infrastructure system that would not only handle their current and future traffic but also was easier maintain with more flexibility.
